This is the deck I used to talk at European Immersive Computing Summit, in Venice (Venezia, Italia) March 22-23, 2018.
My talk was a flight into the gaming/AR/VR stories I meet during last 25y -and- the final words are: Whether working in immersive tech or robotics, we must bring together artificial and real environments where non-human intelligences collaborate for our benefit.
"Infuse HUMANITY into everything (or everything will evolve without it)"

Hugo Gernsback inventor of the term “science
fiction”. Gernsback described his
“teleyeglasses” for a Life magazine article
published in July 1963, when he was 78.
EARLY 3D ENVIRONMENT: Sensorama (1962)
The Sensorama was a machine that is one of the earliest known examples of
immersive, multi-sensory technology. Morton Heilig invented and dubbed it
"Experience Theater”. Prototyped in 1962, the Sensorama was a mechanical
device, which still functions today.
