international article code is:

What is a GTIN code?
From 16 May, the GTIN attribute has been a compulsory
feature for your Google Shopping feeds, for all branded
products and products sold first-hand which have a GTIN code. If you do
not comply with this regulation, you risk your articles being excluded.

You still have to fill in the [brand]
attribute, and it is also recommended
to add the [mpn] attribute.
Filling in the GTIN attribute field increases your Shopping ads’ clicks and
impressions by 40 % and improves your conversion rate by 20% on average.*
