We work for occupiers only.
So CoreNet Global will soon have no place in a fully connected world.I will explain to you in the next 18 slides why this is the last Summit that you will ever experience. And why there is no need for CoreNet after 2012.
What has been the reason for CoreNet Global to exist anyway? A spring break to Disneyland? We want to share knowledge, experience and we want to build relationships.
So if you want to learn –why not go to You Tube?2 Billion of video’s are viewed every single day. And we are already there!
So you want to share experience?Nothing is easier than microblogging. Right from your seat – wherever you are. Instantly.200 million tweets are sent every single day.And CoreNet is allready there.
So you want to connect and belong?Sign up with LinkedIn. More than 120 million professionals are connected. All your peers & prospects at your fingertips. And you can share your information in relevant groups. Instantly.AndCoreNet is already there.
And all of that you can do from any device. And do me a favor please. Turn that thing ON! There must be more interesting stuff out there than listning to me.And if you do find this interesting, send a tweet to the outside world.
Back to my LinkedIn friends. These are my statistics as of Friday.1,200 trusted professionals. That is a hell lot of people, and yes, I know them all. They connect me to 275,000 second degree persons.Compare that with the 400 people in this room.
I have been waiting for this moment a long time.Because there is just one time in a year that just a few of us have the opportunity to stand up and speak. On the internet you have an audience 24/7
What you see here is a map of all my LinkedIn contacts. It took about 6 hours to calculate it.It shows neatly how everyone in the network is connected. And how others are interconnected as well.
So let’s agree that on the internet we all have a microphone where we can share knowledge and experience. You can even choose to listen only or speak up if you want to.You can connect – so what’s missing?
It is irreplacable. Drinking a bear or having a nice dinner at a 17th century chateau. Look each other in the eyes Have a little chit-chat. Experiencing that intimacy. Hearing the unspoken. Building TRUST.
There is a few rules about TRUST.Rule #1: It may take a long time to build trust, but you need only a second to destroy it.No need to explain this picture I guess.
Rule #2:This picture does not need a lot of explanation either. What happens on the internet – will forever stay on the internet.Be careful about the traces that you leave behind. But in the same time internet builds a trail that forms a digital reputation.
And let’s be honestHaven't we all been googling one and another before this event?Just looking who’s there, what they’ve been up to en so?
And now put this together.Your profile on the internet gives you an identityYour reputation that you leave behind is the foundation of TRUST.
And it can even be more fun as well.Any device with a camera can be used to interactFacetime –Lync – Skype, you name it.
So – it is about time to move ahead and prepare for 2012.Please join me into the fully connected world.
But if you want to move at this speed in sharing your experience and learning latest insight.Go that direction.I whish you good luck.
