Our media product challenges conventions by hinting at the revenge plot in the opening, unlike most films. It represents 15-50 year olds as the target audience. Specifically, it portrays teenagers and a father character, as these ages comprised most of the questionnaire respondents. However, it depicts 'chavs' who hurt others negatively, to make viewers aware of this type. The product would be distributed by SKA Productions, as they specialize in British gangster films like this one, which is set in Britain. The target audience is 15-20 year olds, who most participated in the research and can relate to the actors. It aims to attract this age range by casting similar-aged actors, including a love
2. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? Our media product challenges the conventions of other media products , this is because our opening sequence gives hints as to what might happen in the rest of the piece. Looking back at our research most films do not give a lot of clues away at the beginning, for example layer cake hints about the film being about drugs as ours hints about being a story of revenge.
3. How does your media product represent particular social groups? We have tried to represent 15-50 year olds as these are the ages that are represented in the media product, for example characters playing teenagers Martin, Amy and Ethan and the actor playing the older character Paul as he is playing the father character. We have chose to represent these ages as this is the majority that took part in answering our questionnaire. However we have portrayed ‘chavs’ in a negative light, by this mean there are those who chose to where tracksuits as a fashion statement and don’t believe in hurting other people, on the other hand there are those who were tracksuits and hurt people for fun and it is these types of ‘chavs’ that we are trying to make our audience aware of.
4. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? SKA productions would be the media institution to distribute our media product. We have chosen SKA production s because this is Guy Ritchie's production company and he is the top British gangster movie distributer in the country, plus our film is based on British gangster’s killing the main characters father. Also as our media product is based in Britain it would make sense to us a British production company. However we could also use working title as they only produce British films.
5. Who would be the audience for your media product? The audience for my media product will be 15-20 year olds. This is because on looking at the information from my questionnaire the majority of people who took part were in this age gap. This audience will also relate more to the actors on screen as they themselves fit into the age gap.

7. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? As camera man I have learnt that you shouldn’t move with the camera unless you are on a track, and that you should always use a different types of camera and editing techniques. In addition to this I have also learnt that team work is a vital part of making a film, as other team members have different ideas and in some cases their ideas are better.
