1. The Secret Place

2. Matthew 6:5-6
"And when you pray, do not be like
the hypocrites, for they love to
pray standing in the synagogues
and on the street corners to be
seen by men. I tell you the truth,
they have received their reward in
full. [6] But when you pray, go into
your room, close the door and pray
to your Father, who is unseen.
Then your Father, who sees what is
done in secret, will reward you. "

something that is not
seen from the external

4. Psalm 139:13-16
For you created my inmost being; you knit me
together in my mother's womb.
[14] I praise you because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I
know that full well.
[15] My frame was not hidden from you when I
was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of
the earth,
[16] your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in
your book before one of them came to be.

9. John 4:13-14
Jesus answered, "Everyone
who drinks this water will be
thirsty again, [14] but whoever
drinks the water I give him will
never thirst. Indeed, the water
I give him will become in him
a spring of water welling up to
eternal life."

10. If you want to bless your
family, friends, church,
you go to that inner
room and drink of the
fountain of the Lord!

I know what it is to be in need,
and I know what it is to have
plenty. I have learned the secret
of being content in any and
every situation, whether well
fed or hungry, whether living in
plenty or in want. [13] I can do
everything through him who
gives me strength.

Those Who Go into the
Secret Place

18. 1 Samuel 1:6-8
And because the Lord had closed her
womb, her rival kept provoking her in
order to irritate her. [7] This went on
year after year. Whenever Hannah
went up to the house of the Lord, her
rival provoked her till she wept and
would not eat. [8] Elkanah her husband
would say to her, "Hannah, why are
you weeping? Why don't you eat? Why
are you downhearted? Don't I mean
more to you than ten sons?"
