Introduction to Opera Solutions
The Context : Big Data
The world’s businesses realize that new Big Data solutions have huge power. But they lack
internal capabilities to take advantage of the opportunity

There’s a Big Data gap that
    organizations can’t bridge themselves

   Data created grew 9X from 2005 to 2010 (800
billion gigabytes in 2010 alone) – existing capture
   systems overwhelmed

Majority of new data is unstructured, web-based,
   extra-enterprise Large and
                                                                               growing
70% of unstructured data stale after 90 days market
                                                                               opportunity
Analytics need to be brought into operations to
drive real business improvement – companies
lack the means for ongoing insertion of analytic
   output into their day-to-day operations
