• Adoption grew progressively
• Mandatory faculty training to get started
• Course request process, site created by IT staff
• Current version was getting outdated (4.1)
• Looking into migrating to WebCT Vista in 2006

6. What Now?
• Fear of being locked-down into a technology with
a limited life expectancy
• LMS selection process is long and painful
• Prior experience with open-source technologies:
• UPortal
• Open-Source Portfolios
• One of our IT Director was on the original Sakai Board
