In the first round over 13 countries were invited to submit their NSPs Rwanda made it through the 2 nd round along with 7 other countries and invited to submit a second round proposal. Only 3 countries submitted a 2 nd round proposal: Rwanda, Malawi, and Kenya Rwanda notified in Nov 2009 that the GF BoD approved Rwanda’s NSP as only HIV NSP and awarded over $300m
