The MEASURE GIS Working Group met in June 2012 in Rosslyn, Virginia to identify state of the art geospatial practices, build a community of geospatial practitioners to share knowledge, and contribute to discussions on geospatial tools and analysis. Attendees included representatives from USAID, the US Department of State, NGOs, academia, and the private sector. The goal of the meeting was to capture recent developments in geospatial data, capacity, software, and analysis. The output would be a one-page document updating the community on geospatial innovations and how they can improve data and analysis to inform decision makers.
