  1. Ian Murdock is Vice President of Platform at ExactTarget, where he is responsible for the company's platform strategy, platform products, and developer programs. Prior to joining ExactTarget, Ian ran Sun's worldwide developer strategy, and marketing programs. Ian has also served as the Chief Technology Officer of the Linux Foundation and founded Debian, one of the most popular and influential Linux-based operating systems with millions of users worldwide. Ian received his B.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University in 1996.

  5. How does the Fuel Platform really impact me as a marketer?

Marketers must create relevant interactions by integrating data (i.e. demographic, behavioral, social, etc.) to deliver rich, interactive, compelling interactive experiences (i.e. rich content, video, coupons, surveys, etc.) across multiple channels (i.e. email, mobile, social, web, offline, ads, etc.)Marketing “execution” is difficult given the need to integrate multiple systems from multiple vendors to drive successful marketing programs since marketers rely on a mix of technologies to execute cross-channel campaignsOur Interactive Marketing Hub provides a cross-channel marketing automation platform to meet these challenges.

As you can see, HubExchange looks like an app store…Has all the common features you would expect browse, search, etc…But we wanted our customers to “build” their own Hub experience…HubExchange allows customers to easily find and install apps into their IMH accountIn this example, we’ll install the Windsor Circle app, an e-commerce app that helps drive retention marketing programs.
