FRIDA is a smart tool developed for Uppsala University Medical School to support problem-based learning (PBL) and curriculum planning after transitioning to a new case-based integrated curriculum. FRIDA allows tutors to present PBL cases to students, create and modify cases, and evaluate cases. It also provides curriculum overviews and mapping. Students can access cases and resources to support self-directed learning. Evaluation data and statistics are collected to inform curriculum improvements. The tool was created through collaboration between educational and IT staff to support the implementation of PBL school-wide.
