2. We use the causative from: SUBJECT + HAVE + OBJECT + PAST PARTICIPLE when we don´t do something ourselves, but arrange for someone to do it for us. All tenses are possible
3. Examples: James had his car cleaned (she arranged for someone else to do it for her). We are having our flat decorated (we arranged for someone else to decorate our flat for us).
4. We can also use: GET + OBJECT + PAST PARTICIPLE in a similar way, especially in informal English. But we don´t usually use get in the present perfect tense. Example: I must get my eyes tested
5. We also use: GET SOMETHING DONE for something difficult you manage to finish Example: I managed to get my webpage set up all by myself!
6. We can also use: HAVE SOMETHING DONE (but not get something done) when something unpleasant happens to us. Example: I had my wallet stolen on my way home from school.
