Any award routings you're looking at
Award routing rules
Editor's Notes
Look at award charts. Find awards that seem underpriced relative to other awards
Do you know all of an airline's partners? Do you know where to search every partner of every airline? If not google, the airline's partners. Google where to search for award space on a partner. (Alaska award space on aa.com is bookable with BA miles too.)
The Wikipedia page for any airport lists each airline and all its destinations served. 99% accurate and really useful. Wikipedia “[airline] destinations” to find all the cities served by an airline
When you deal with phone agents, sometimes you can get them to ignore a rule if you're confident and pleasant.
Different airlines allow different routings on free one ways because all airlines have their own award routing rules, so this is just the definition
Quick aside about United airlines...(next slide)
Search one way at a time. Try to put it together in a multi-city and call United if you get an error.
Caveat: potentially breaking rules, checked bags, rerouting during IRROPS
Why it's a deal? You can fly any flight with United Saver award space and United would charge 60k and 120k for same awards
Starting the award in the continental United States would cost MORE Singapore miles despite being less fling
