3. Getting your Own webpage and
advertising your site
• You will first want to get your own webpage set up that will lead people to your
free Kitsy boutique website.
• You will need your own website separate from your Kitsy boutique website
because Google does not promote sites that have duplicate content.
• The Kitsylane boutiques are automatically set up with the same content for every

• As well as you do not have control over your site’s search engine optimization. This
will be necessary to compete for website traffic in the search engines.
• Also, in order to start your campaign and begin receiving traffic to your website
right away you will need to use pay per click advertising.
• Search engine optimization- The process of maximizing the number of visitors to a
particular website by ensuring that the site appears high on the list of results
returned by a search engine.
• Pay Per Click advertising- (PPC) (also called cost per click) is an internet
advertising model used to direct traffic to websites. With pay per click, you pay
whenever a customer clicks on your advertised link to visit your website.
