6. What does need to create a well functioning team?
Tackling that question, Meredith Belbin had identified
9 key roles, which team members should cover to ensure
effective self-management and team dynamics.
Some of the roles are compatible, which allows to cluster
them into 3 themes (social, thinking, action). Each theme is
crucial for a well functioning team.
The Nordic Rebels have merged Belblin’s theory with some
hands-on methods to strengthen your team!

12. Tina Seelig form Stanford university has introduced the
Failure Résumé .
“...a résumé that summarizes all their biggest screw ups — personal,
professional, and academic. For every failure, each student must describe what
he or she learned from that experience. “ https://stvp.stanford.edu/blog/tag/resume
Nordic Rebels extended the method and ask you
to visualise your failures instead of writing about them.

themselves “What to do next?”
Effectuation theory explains exactly that in a traceable,
theoretic process. If you haven’t heard about it yet, visit:
effectuation.org
The following method translates the effectuation process
into an actual cooking process, proving all it needs for a
Cooking Slam... Check it out! :)

17. ● If you haven’t done jet – download the cooking progress here.
● Buy enough groceries and compose those into challenging sets for each team.
Reserve some exotic groceries for the “opportunity table”. The teams must pick
at least one risky grocery from that table when creating their dish.
● Time to start cooking! Form teams of max. 5 people. May draw the teams by lot.
● Following to the downloaded cooking progress, create your dishes within a set
time frame (e.g. 1 ½ h). One team may prepare an enrté, one a main course, …
● Present your dishes and the risk you have taken.
● Gather your culinary creations & enjoy! :)
● ...Reflect on the cooking progress and compare it with the effectuation theory.
