Verbs (IV) but to memorize them…

6. • To help our memory, there are two
important things….

7. • Pattern /Definition
• Consistent and recurring characteristic or
trait that helps in the identification of a
phenomenon or problem, and serves as an
indicator or model for predicting its future
behavior.

8. • PATTERN 1:
No change
CUT- CUT-CUT

9. • PATTERN 2.
• Vowel change
sing/ sang/ sung

10. • PATTERN 3:
Same present/past part
run / ran/ run

11. • PATTERN 4
Same past/past participle
send-sent-sent

12. PATTERN 5:
Add n/en/ne to present to form past
participle
drive/drove/driven

13. PATTERN 6
Add n/en/ne to past to form past
participle
freeze-froze-frozen

14. • Some irregular verbs do not fit in any pattern.
• They are our “rebels”!
• Example: fly-flew-flown
