1951: in Montreal, Vineberg and Miller: direct implantation of LIMA into the
myocardium.
Early 1960s: Sones and Shirey did coronary angiography at the Cleveland
Clinic.
1964: Kolesov in Leningrad, in which the LIMA was anastomosed
to the LAD.
1967: Favaloro and Effler at the Cleveland Clinic reversed saphenous vein
bypass grafting and by 1971.
