o Boundary: The real or imaginaryϖ surface that separates the system from its

o Properties of a system is a measurable characteristic of a system that is in equilibrium.
Properties may be intensive or extensive.
o Intensive – Are independent of the amount of mass:ϖ e.g: Temperature, Pressure, and
Density,
o Extensive – varies directly with the massϖ e.g: mass, volume, energy, enthalpy
