Walton Cup Golf Tournament will be kicked off from Friday’

The renowned electrical, electronics, automobiles, home appliance and tele-communication
products manufacturer ‘WALTON’ sponsored the ‘3rd
Walton Cup Golf Tournament-2016’
starting from Friday.
From the next 15-16th
April, the tournament will be held at Savar Golf Club. 300 plus golfers of
home and abroad will take part in this tournament.
A press conference held in the Bangabandhhu national stadium meeting room on Tuesday.
Senior additional director of Walton group F.M Iqbal-bin-Anwar, AGM of sports and welfare
department of Walton group Mehrab Hossain Asif and Major Md. Shafiqur Rahman (retrd),
CEO of Savar golf club were present, among others, in the meeting, according to the press
release.
The competition will be held in three departments among seven categories. The departments are
men, women and junior and the categories are gents-18 hole, gents- 9 hole, veteran, senior, ladies
and junior, as conferred through the press conference, stated in the press release.
“Walton is with the tournament from very beginning. According to that for the 3rd
time we are
binding together with this Savar golf club initiated tournament. We want to brand the country by
every game whether it is cricket, football, kabadi or other sports. We want to earn reputation by
the golf too. I am expecting all over success of the tournament,” said F.M Iqbal-bin-Anwar while
speaking on the press conference.
Major Md. Shafiqur Rahman (retrd) thanking the Walton group said, earlier we had arranged the
first and second sessions of the tournament upon the sponsorship of the Walton group. For
sponsoring and arranging the tournament this year I would like to thank Walton as well. Walton
not only sponsors the golf tournament but almost all sorts of sports are being sponsored by the
Walton group. The increased level of arrangement in the department of sports became possible
for the help of Walton. We will want that Walton to receive more such success gradually and
keep in pace with such sponsorships and initiatives in future as well.
The event partner of this tournament is ‘Marcel’, one of the renowned brands of the Walton

press release.
