5. By the end of 2011, the Human Population reached
seven billion people.
In 1800, only one billion people lived on the earth.
For every one second that passes in time, about five
people are born and only two people die.
Our average life expectancy is longer. In 1960, the
average life lasted 53 years. In 2010, the average life
lasted 69 years.

6. In 2008 and for the first time in human history,
more people lived in urban areas than rural areas.
By 2050 more than 70 percent of the world's
human population will live in urban areas.
In 1975, three megacities existed. Now there are
21 cities. ( City with more than ten million
inhabitants is called a mega city).
All seven billion people could reportedly stand
shoulder to shoulder in an area the size of Los
Angeles

20. POPULATION DISTRIBUTION
The majority of southern Pakistan's population lives
along the Indus River.
Karachi is the most populous city in Pakistan.
In the northern half, most of the population lives about
an arc formed by the cities
of Faisalabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujran
wala, Sialkot, Nowshehra,Swabi,Mardan and
Peshawar.
