Extreme Sports are also popularly known as adventure sports. Usually,
these sports refer to some activities that involve a lot of physical strength,
are unconventional and come with high levels of health risks. An object of
attraction to a substantial percentage of youths all over the world, these type
of sports do not require players to play against each other to survive and win
but to fight against nature, or extreme natural conditions. Though the
evaluation of players in these sports is done on the basis of their
performances, other subjective criteria also play a major role in the judging
process of each player’s Sport Scores.



How Extreme Sports Came Into Being
According to researchers, Extreme Sports emerged as a reaction to the
extra-safe lifestyle of modern times. Another contributor to the birth of these
sports is the cutting edge technology of today. But the biggest contributor to
the rise of Extreme Sports is perhaps the entertainment industry with
extreme stunts shown in every other film. People love to take risks because
it gives them an adrenaline rush unlike any other and at the end of the day, it
brings pleasure and adds spice to their mundane lives. The modern face of
these sports originated from the 1970’s popular Polynesian activity, known
today as ‘surfing’. Most of the adventure games that we see today have
evolved from surfing such as Skateboarding or Wind Sailing.

Types of Extreme Sports
 Skateboarding: Known to be a game for boys, skateboarding
involves a player to ride a skateboard and perform tricks while staying
on it. A trickier version of it is named Swingboarding.

 Trickblade: This game involves a special kind of roller blades with
thick wheels and wide boots and grind plate. However, the tricks
played in this game are quite similar to those of skateboarding.



 Bungee Jumping: Known to be a game for boys, skateboarding
involves a player to ride a skateboard and perform tricks while staying
on it. A trickier version of it is named Swingboarding.

 BMX Biking: This game involves a special kind of roller blades with
thick wheels and wide boots and grind plate. However, the tricks
played in this game are quite similar to those of skateboarding.

 Whitewater Rafting: This game involves navigating on a river with
paddles on an inflatable raft. There are different levels of difficulties
in this sport where a player’s strength is tested.

 Deep Sea Diving: This is one of those Extreme Sports where you
need special permissions and certifications. You actually have to take
classes before starting to play this game of adventure.

 Rock Climbing: This sport is for those who don’t have vertigo. There
are different types of rock climbing such as solo, aid, trad, mountain
and free. In this game, the players are always connected to each other
with carabiners. If you want to get into this sport, you better make
friends with harness, helmet, and vulcanized rubber.



What Drives People to Play Extreme
Sports
The craze for Extreme Sports is undeniable and to a great extent, it is hard
to defy. What draws so many people, especially youngsters to these highly
risky games is the sheer thrill of something out of the ordinary. For them, the
fun aspect of the adventures is just irresistible. Not to mention the chance to
visit exotic places and make new connections with like-minded people from
around the world. It is this same aspect that has drawn people to create

What Equipments Are Required
Being equipped with the right apparatus is imperative for surviving in
Extreme Sports. Always take the necessary equipments and medications.

elbow pads, goggles, protective clothing (varies from sport to sport) that
come with a lot of pockets for storage, and gloves.

Safety Measures For Participants
Life-threatening injuries are not uncommon in Extreme Sports and if you
are not properly geared up, they will become impossible to prevent.
Remember, there’s no room for mistakes and disregard in adventure games
because you will always be exposed to extreme levels of risk. Concentration
plays a key part here not only on your Sports Scores but also on your safety.
Keep your focus on your moves rather than what other people are doing. A
slight change in any part of your body including your breathing, can affect
your performance and turn out to be dangerous for your life. If you are a
teenager, take your parents to your practice sessions and always work with a
coach. Having a coach is enormously important for young adults as well.
Keep in mind the fact that buying the newest skateboard or surfboard or
wheels is important for your performance but it is even more important to
buy the latest safety gear for your survival. And never take medications
without a doctor’s approval.
