2. Camera: Nikon D3500
The camera that I will be using to shoot the
teaser trailer and to capture the pictures that
will be used for the trailer’s magazine front
cover and poster is the Nikon D3500. This is
the closest piece of equipment to the proper
Hollywood standard cameras that I could get a
hold of. I’ve had the camera for about a year
now and so am very familiar with its features
and how to use it correctly. It also means I
won’t have to borrow a camera and rely on
others. I can take as many shots as I want and
have the ability to re-shoot things immediately
as there is no limit on the SD card, which is
64GB and won’t fill up quickly.
3. Tripod
For some of the more static shots, like a pan, I will be
using a tripod to help stabilise them. However, I don’t
need the tripod all the time as I will be using moving
and handheld shots to connote how unstable Nicole
is at certain points in the trailer. When creating the
moving shot I would use a piece of equipment called
a ‘Gimble’ but this is very expensive and I have no
experience with it so the shots would still come out
terrible. I already have a tripod at home so it comes
at no cost and can be put in awkward positions with
no fear if it breaks. I am also familiar with the tripod
so no time needs to be wasted learning how to use it.
4. Lens
• Apart from the standard lens that comes with the Nikon
D3500 I have also acquired a prime lense that will allow
me to get establishing shots from a distance and to take
close up zoomed in pictures of the characters face.
