This document summarizes the features of MarcEdit and Open Refine software tools that can be used to enhance metadata and technical services workflows. It describes how MarcEdit allows for batch editing of records, extracting and merging fields, and comparing records. Open Refine is highlighted as a tool for separating multiple values in fields, analyzing field values, and cleaning up inconsistencies. The presentation concludes by thanking the audience.
