Graph enhancements to AI and ML are changing the landscape of intelligent applications. In this session, we’ll focus on how using connected features can help improve the accuracy, precision, and recall of machine learning models. You’ll learn how graph algorithms can provide more predictive features as well as aid in feature selection to reduce overfitting. We’ll look at a link prediction example to predict collaboration with measurable improvement when including graph-based features.

Knowledge Graphs and Generative AI, together, enable contextual and semantic information retrieval from both structured and unstructured data sources. LLMs and Neo4j labeled property graphs synergize seamlessly, whether for querying your enterprise graph with natural language or converting unstructured data into a knowledge graph. Join our session to understand how the deep dynamic context that Knowledge Graphs provide helps ensure answers from an LLM are accurate, explainable, and contextual.

Large Language models are amazing but are also black-box models that often fail to capture and accurately represent factual knowledge. Knowledge graphs, by contrast, are structural knowledge models that explicitly represent knowledge and, indeed, allow us to detect implicit relationships. In this talk we will demonstrate how LLMs can be improved by Knowledge Graphs, and how LLM’s can augment Knowledge Graphs. A perfect couple!

Graph algorithms are powerful tools, and there’s a lot of excitement about their applications for data science. It can sometimes be difficult, however - especially for those of us who aren’t data scientists - to know how they might be applied to a particular data set or a specific business problem. There are graph algorithms for centrality and importance measurement, community detection, similarity comparison, pathfinding, and link prediction. Which ones should you use on your data, and which ones might be most useful in answering your business questions? In this presentation, we’ll look at a few examples of Neo4j graph algorithms, and see how they can be applied to data and business problems from the banking industry. We’ll discuss what kinds of data are appropriate for different types of algorithms, show how to model and structure data to work with graph algorithms, and run through some real-world scenarios demonstrating the use of graph algorithms on a sample banking data set. Knowledge Graphs and Generative AI Dr. Katie Roberts, Data Science Solutions Architect, Neo4j It’s no secret that Large Language Models (LLMs) are popular right now, especially in the age of Generative AI. LLMs are powerful models that enable access to data and insights for any user, regardless of their technical background, however, they are not without challenges. Hallucinations, generic responses, bias, and a lack of traceability can give organizations pause when thinking about how to take advantage of this technology. Graphs are well suited to ground LLMs as they allow you to take advantage of relationships within your data that are often overlooked with traditional data storage and data science approaches. Combining Knowledge Graphs and LLMs enables contextual and semantic information retrieval from both structured and unstructured data sources. In this session, you’ll learn how graphs and graph data science can be incorporated into your analytics practice, and how a connected data platform can improve explainability, accuracy, and specificity of applications backed by foundation models.

At Neo4j we believe that ‘Graphs Are Everywhere’. In this session, we’ll be looking specifically at graphs within the Financial Services industry. We’ll review the types of data that are typically available within a bank, illustrate the graphs can be formed from that data, and discuss the use cases that those graphs can enable and support. The use cases presented will include Anti-Money Laundering and Fraud Detection and Prevention (including integration with AI and Machine Learning technologies), Regulatory Compliance (such as BCBS 239 and GDPR), Customer 360 View, Master Data Management, and Identity and Access Management. Many players in the Financial Services industry already rely on Neo4j's graph database: such as Lending Club, the world's largest microservices credit marketplace, for Network and IT, the big German insurance company die Bayerische for graph-based search, Cerved for Master Data Management, Wobi for price comparison and real-time recommendation, or UBS for Identity and Access Management.

Neo4j is a powerful and expressive tool for storing, querying and manipulating data. However modeling data as graphs is quite different from modeling data under a relational database. In this talk, Michael Hunger will cover modeling business domains using graphs and show how they can be persisted and queried in Neo4j. We'll contrast this approach with the relational model, and discuss the impact on complexity, flexibility and performance.

In this presentation, delivered by ABK Andreas Kollegger at QCon London 2024, the focus was on Connecting the Dots for Information Discovery. The classic RAG application extends an LLM with private information, able to fetch answers to questions that are contained in a single chunk of text. What if the answer requires connecting the dots across multiple chunks that may not be directly similar to the question? That is information discovery with GraphRAG. You'll learn how to: - reconstruct chunks into the original context - meaningfully connect disparate chunks - expand unstructured text data with structured data - combine all this into a RAG workflow

Created by Mozilla Research in 2012 and now part of Linux Foundation Europe, the Servo project is an experimental rendering engine written in Rust. It combines memory safety and concurrency to create an independent, modular, and embeddable rendering engine that adheres to web standards. Stewardship of Servo moved from Mozilla Research to the Linux Foundation in 2020, where its mission remains unchanged. After some slow years, in 2023 there has been renewed activity on the project, with a roadmap now focused on improving the engine’s CSS 2 conformance, exploring Android support, and making Servo a practical embeddable rendering engine. In this presentation, Rakhi Sharma reviews the status of the project, our recent developments in 2023, our collaboration with Tauri to make Servo an easy-to-use embeddable rendering engine, and our plans for the future to make Servo an alternative web rendering engine for the embedded devices industry.
