Short version of Aladdin and the wonderful lamp to use in the classroom to teach vocabulary

1. Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp
Far off in a beautiful city,
a boy named Aladdin
lived with his mother in Persia.

2. One day a mysterious stranger
came next to Aladdin and offered him a
silver coin for doing him a favour.
The stranger drove Aladdin
really far away from the city,

3. to a deserted valley .
Once there, the stranger,
who was a magician ,
began to murmur a spell
until a door appear
under their feet

4. The door led to a cave .
The stranger told Aladdin
to come into the cave
and take a copper lamp

5. The stranger asked him
not to touch anything but the lamp .
Inside the cave
there were a lot of
silver coins, gold coins ,
jewels

6. and the copper lamp .
Aladdin took the copper lamp
but also pick up some coins .
Once Aladdin was back at the door of the cave
the magician

7. saw Aladdin carrying out the coins
and got very very angry .
Aladdin walked back
frightened and suddenly the
door closed

8. so he was trapped within the cave .
By chance he rubbed the lamp
and suddenly a
genie appeared.

9. Suddenly Aladdin was outside the cave .
Of the genie, the magician and the door
there was no sign.
So Aladdin set off for home
