When you count, you use real numbers.
To picture this, you can put these numbers on a “number line”
Some assumptions:
1)Each real number is paired with exactly one point on a number line
2)Each point on a number line is paired with exactly one real number
3)Each consecutive point on a number line is an equal distance from the
previous point.

Because Absolute Value is only
concerned with magnitude,
not direction,
ABSOLUTE VALUE IS ALWAYS
POSITIVE!
