First and foremost, thank you for downloading the book – “How to Make Money Online”. In
writing this book I have assumed you, the reader, have a basic knowledge of affiliate marketing
and Wordpress.
I do not make money by selling pdf files. I make money on the internet with real website. This is
why my ebook is free. Also, you're free to make copies of it and pass it on to anyone you like.
Those methods I described in these 98 pages report are easy to understand and implement.
This is my first ebook and it comes from my experience of over two years as affiliate marketer
and internet entrepreneur.
This ebook is a compilation of update blog posts found on my blog, the3dtechnologies.com
I'm using this book as a promotional tool. If you like what you read, chances are you will visit
my blog. I make money by blogging, not by selling E Books.
I've launched this book because most people lack the right mindset and the necessary
knowledge to make money online. Thus, my goals with this e-book is to open the eyes and
expand the mind of every person that want make money online or who has always throught to
use internet as their main source of income, but had not the right knowledge to do it.
The 1° part is focalized on how learning to build a website from scratch through Wordpress
platform.
The 2° part is focalized on how to make money through Adsense ppc program and affiliate
marketing.
The 3° part is focalized on how to create traffic to your site or blog.
The 4° and last part is focalized on pick a niche that have profitable keywords, build a small
website store around them, and then leave it to bring search engine traffic and bring a residual
income without requiring maintenance.

Why Start A Business Online?
There are people that opened their business online because they wanted freedom too. They
didn’t do it for the money.
Unfortunatly is not so. The truth is that if you open a small-business online, you have less
freedom — at least as far as I can see. I can confirm this because I’m a self-employed person, I
work 12 hours daily than when I was an employee. Yes, self-employment give you no more
freedom — at least when it came to my time.
Now, the question is: What allows me really to do? Well, it allows me to express myself freely.
At the end, I believe this is the real freedom for those people that create an own business and
who love what they do.
I left my old work in 2007 as an engineer because I was tired of my life, of being submissive by
my boss, and because I couldn’t do what I really wanted for myself — so I left.
Open an own business is the only way for you to express your true self even if it’s a part-time
job. Buy, what you should do if you want to open a business online like me? The answer is:
Choose the most profitable topics and start blogging.
To be frank, I started my blog in 2006 for passion, but over time for the money. I love blogging
and share my knowledge to people, and trying to help them to learn how to make money
online.

First of all, you need to realise that if you wish to generate any revenue from your niche store,
you need to host your own niche store and register a domain name.
Note: You can't use a free web hosting service due to this conditions:
1. AdSense, Yahoo, Chitika and other CPC programs are not permitted.
2. Sponsored/paid links are not permitted.
3. Text ads are not permitted.
So, this answer isn't what we want when the site is designed to earn money!

11. 2. How Does to Start with Bluehost
The Bluehost signup process is very simple and takes very little time.
1. First off, go to Bluehost.com then click on “sign up now” button as you can see on the image
below.

12. 2. On the next page you need to enter a new domain name or enter the domain name you want
to transfer to Bluehost.
Note: If you want to enter a new domain name directly from your control panel, go under the
section called “Domains” and click on “Domain Manager”. Next click on the “New Domain” tab
across of the top of the Domain Manager page. This will take you to a section of the control
panel where enter your domain name.
3. On the next page you can choose your price for your domain:
24 month price - $6.95 per month(reccomended)
12 month price - $7.95 per month
6 month price - $8.95 per month, +$30 setup fee, +$10 for your domain name
3 month price- $9.95 per month, +$30 setup fee, +$10 for your domain name
Once you’ve entered all the information required, click on “Next”, and you are all done.

14. Chapter 2: Uploading Files Using FileZilla - FTP Clients
To installing your site, you need to upload every files. It’s no hard but is a step where some
beginners get stuck. First of all, go on www.filezilla-project.org, and click on 'Download Filezilla
Client' button.
On the next page, click on FileZilla_3.3.2.1_win32-setup.exe (or above) if you have any Windows
Operating System, than download Filezilla client (it’s free) and install it.

17. Once installed, click on the icon 'Filezila' and will appear a screenshot like this:
The top-right section labelled "Remote site"(1) shows the files that are on the server. These are
live on the web. The Local Area(2) shows the files that are on your computer. In the bottom
section(3) are panels that show various status messages and the progress of file transfers.
Notice that the local and remote areas look pretty much like a Windows Explorer window and
they work in the same way. To navigate around the folders simply expand them and click on
them as you would in Explorer.
To upload a file from your computer to the server you can simply drag from the local area into
the remote area.

18. 1. Creating an FTP Site to Connect To
Here, I've summarized how you must to fill each fields:
1. Host
This is your domain name, for example: “ftp://ftp.yoursite.com”.
Note: “ftp://ftp.” included.
2. User ID
For example: yoursite.com
3. Password
Your password
Note: these are the user ID and password that have been issued to you by your
web host and are NOT the same as the admin user for your WordPress blog.

19. Chapter 3: Create A Blog
If you want launch a common blog or small business, Bluehost allows you to managing many
things in order to simplify your work such as FTP, mail setup parameters, and much more.
Starting a blog with Bluehost is very easy. All you need to do is to use the Fantastico button.
The fantastico script installer allows anyone to install a few software base, quickly. For
instance, you can launch a blog in a default Wordpress state in just 4-5 minutes work. Just
enter some data and go.
Note: Despite I am using BlueHost, there are other host out there that uses the Fantastico
button, then, if you prefer to use another host that uses Fantastico, then these instructions will
still work for you.

20. 1. CPanel
CPanel is the best hosting software out there and the best hosting companies use it. The
version of the cPanel that comes with Bluehost is 11. The management is highly user friendly
and any novice user can easily work with it.
This is what I see when I log into my BlueHost account. That “cpanel 11” is telling me that they
run version 11 of the CPanel software(image above).
2. Click The Fantastico Button
Click on the “Fantastico De Luxe” button. This will take you to the Fantastico navigation
screen. Don’t worry if you don’t understand what all of that means – I’ll walk you through the
installation step by step in the following pages. Fantastico is not just for WordPress, it also has
support for forums, polls, surveys, wikis and loads more.
But for now what we want is WordPress which you can see on the next picture. So, click on
'Fantastico De Luxe' button.

21. Once clicked on the WordPress button, you'll should see the following screen(image below).
Don’t worry, if anything goes wrong you can just delete it from this screen through the "Remove
link" and start again. As you can see WordPress is at the top of the list, click the WordPress
icon.

22. On the next page you will get an icon on the bottom called “Install Now”.
Note: You can choose between several Wordpress version, I recommend the latest stable
version.

23. 3. Fill in the Required Information
On the Next page you need to choose the site/blog name. I suggest to uncheck the “Generate
me an Administrator” Login box and make your own username and password.
Keep the “Automatically create a new database” option checked unless you know how to or
already have a database setup to use.
Below you can set the additional options where you can give your new site a name, generate
me an Administrator Login box (not checked). You will also need to check the bottom two legal
agreement boxes to continue.

25. 4. Finalise the Installation
Once clicked the Complete button the Wordpress setup process is finished, Or at least it was
on this Bluehost account. The next few screens show your access information. That it!
Now you will have the latest version of WordPress installed. You will still need to use FTP client
to install your theme and all your plugins and then learn how to optimize it. In fact the easy part
is installing WordPress.
I highly recommend Bluehost Hosting for your WordPress site.
5. Login to Your New Site
The link will look like this: http://www.yourdomain.com/WordPress-directory/wp-admin/
Click on that and you’ll see the WordPress login panel which will prompt you for the
username and password that you entered earlier in the process. Once logged in you’ll find
yourself in the WordPress dashboard which is a screen that you will come to be very familiar
with!
6. Other Benefit Of Bluehost
The Bluehost Live Chat is easy to use. All you have to do is to go to the Bluehost web site,
click on the “Live Chat” icon, enter the required details and your question. Usually, they replied
quickly.
Instead, If you present an email ticket through the Bluehost “Help Center”, they replied to in
approximately 48 hours.
There is also a Phone Support, this is also an excellent way to contact directly Bluehost and
get a answer quickly.
Generally, the Bluehost support is great, more better then other web hosting services out there,
thus I will have no hesitation in recommending Bluehost to my friends and colleagues.

26. 7. Basic WordPress Administration
The very first thing you should do is test the site out and see it live! Once log into your
dashboard at the top left, next to your site name there is a “View Site” link:
Click on that to see what the site looks like. It will probably look something like this:
Pretty ugly huh? Never mind, we’ll get to that.

27. 8. Change Your Permalink Structure
A permalink is a short word for ‘permanent link’. Every blog post and every static page and
many other items within WordPress all have a permanent link on your website. By default,
WordPress uses a dynamic structure that simply allocates a page a number.
In order to maximise search engine traffic you will want to ensure that the permalinks on your
site have your keywords in them. Here’s an example of a permalink:
http://www.yoursite.com/article/
How to change your permanent link: From the Dashboard, click on Setting and then from the
lower layer of the menu, click Permalinks:
There are three main choices, none of which are suitable! Thankfully, you can also specify a
custom setting which I have indicated in the above screenshot. In case you cannot see that
clearly, here is it:
/%postname%/
What that means is that it will simply use the name of your page(title of your post) as the url.
Now when I refresh the page I was looking at, my address bar has changed:
Ahh, more search engine friendly.

28. 9. How To Choose A Website Template
As Affiliate marketers, I’ve tried several of free website templates a while back, but recently
I’ve decided to buy a premium Wordpress theme that support more widget and allows me to
simplify time and works.
Of course, free web site templates is all ok, I’d admit that some are really well made, but most
of them are not adapt to working with affiliate marketing, at least not for me. They are not
flexible as they should be, and do not allows you to modifying layout parts or change existing
parts in several ways.
For example, you can not do any of the following: change background colors, the type of font
and so on, in a few click as a professional theme does. Also, they do not offer any type of
support. Free is great, but have its limitations.
However, to getting a professional web templates, the beautiful designs is not everything. This
is a minor concern. There are other factors that you are need to consider and that affect your
website success, such as, search engine optimization, readability, and functionality.
Theme should reflect your topic and idee that you want share to your readers. So, if you are
still confused, about the professional theme you should use, you need to consider some points,
first:
A professional website template haven’t too many colors, but the colors are arranged to
differentiate the importance of your website content.
On the other hand, the colors of the images inside your website should match the topic of your
website. For instance, if you talk about money, the prevalent colors could be the green, while if
your topic is about cabin rentals you could choose the brown as main color.
As many of you know, for my three sites, the3dtechnologies.com, cabinrentalsideas.com, and
nickdeiana.com, I make use of three different Wordpress themes, respectively Frugal, Thesis
and Arthemia.
One of the main reasons I use these professional templates is why they allows me to change
my layout look, change background colors, sidebar colors and so on, with a few click directly
from my Wordpress dashboard, and without have css or php knowledges.
Another important point that a professional web template take in consideration is the search
engine optimization. Many of professional theme allows you to make your search page seo-
friendly. In a few step you are able to add from your dashboard, meta tag keyword, meta-tag
description and so on, in a simple and fast way.
Remember, web visitors will run away from your website if your website has lesser chances to
appear in search engine results because the web pages aren’t optimized.

29. Last but not least, a website template must be simple as possible. Choose simplicity over
complexity. Your web visitors should be able to identify the topics of your website theme quickly
and then easily find what he is looking for at the second. Also, more simple your site is, more
webpages will load, quickly. In these case, I highly reccomend you to use Frugal theme.

30. 10. My 12 Favorite Blogging Resources
I would to share a list of software and services I use on my blogs, to add to your bad of tricks
and that you can always use for improve your business online.
Please note that these are all things that I use and that I want to reccomend you because they
are useful and are companies that I trust.
Bluehost - Bluehost lets me to install Wordpress with a few click, have a good customer service
and a low price. Both are highly reccomended.
Blogging Platform
Wordpress - Is the blogging platform I use in all my blogs. It’s free and easy to installing and
customize. You have a tons of plugins available and a great support from the Wordpress
community.
Arthemia theme - Is a newspaper theme I use on my blog nickdeiana.com
Thesis theme - This great theme I use on Cabinrentalsideas.com lets me to customize layout
and design of my blog in a simple and fast way.
Amazon s3 - Amazon S3 is a storage for the Internet. It is a great way to putting large files
videos, and podcasts so you don’t have bandwidth problems on your own website.
Shopping Carts
Paypal - Paypal is just for selling something or receive your affiliate payments, but you’ll need
to register for an account in order to be able to receive you payment.
Advertising Stuff
Google Adsense - Google Adsense is a free to use ppc program and the better way to
monetize your blog. It lets you to placing relevant ads on your website. Every ads are
generated from advertisers using Google Adwords. It is my first source of income.
Infolinks - Infolinks is my second source of income. It is a In Text Advertising, and the highest
revenue. I am switch from Kontera to Infolinks, because they have an high ecpm.
Email Subscriptions & Marketing
Aweber - Aweber provides all necessary marketing tools for those wishing to increase their
subscribers number through a mailing list. Aweber is ideal to promote affiliate products to
people who are really interested.

Google Analytics - Google’s is a tool that help you to tracking your website. The best thing is
that It’s free to use.
ClickTale - I’m using clicktale to check out how people use my website. I can see every mouse
movement and every click they do, and optimize those pages that don’t perform well. You can
see a small sample of website viewers for free for max 400/month recorder.
Google Optimizer - Is a website optimizer tool that lets you test different webpages of the same
content. You need to change only changing some things, so you can see which converts well.
Keyword Spy - It lets you to spy on the top competition, and let you create a keyword list that
help you to make money.

Theirproducts consist of text link ads, paid blog reviews, in-text links, in-content pay per click
ads, rotating text ads, hosted content pages, article submission, directory submission and many
more.
Pepperjam - Pepperjam Network provides two types of options, CPA and CPC. You can
promote your Pepperjam Network merchant partners through your blog, search engine, email
marketing, coupons, etc.

there. It serving CPC, CPM and CPA ads. Payment can be made via direct transfer to your
bank account.
ClickBank - ClickBank is the Internet’s leading retailer of digital products. Whether you’re
looking to sell, promote, or shop for digital goods, ClickBank is for you.
ShareAsale - There are currently over 2,000 Merchants plugged in to the ShareASale Network.
They serving CPC, CPM, CPA and CPL ads. You decide which merchants to promote and how
to promote them, and when commissions are generated, you can see your stats in real-time.
Payment can be made via check or direct transfer to your bank account.
Amazon associates - Is one of the most popular ad network with thousand of affiliate programs
in their database. They offers CPA options, so if someone purchase something you get a
percentage of the sale. You can choose from different ad units and create your own as well.
Payment can be made via check, but you can also update your payment method to direct
deposit (EFT).

34. Chapter 5: Make Money With Adsense
1.Using AdSense And Make Money Online
Can Adsense actually help your money grow, or is it a complete waste of my valuable time?
Well, after my two year Adsense experiment, I can attest that, Google Adsense is one of the
better, if not the better programs to making money online.
There are many niches that always pull in the mega bucks than others, but in general no matter
if you have a website about marketing, technology, sport, if you write every day and have a lot
of patience, you'll be sure to get successful with this program.
In a nutshell, Adsense works like this: An advertiser signs up for Google AdWords system, and
creates one or more advertisements that they want to display on Google's search result pages
or on "content pages". Each website or blog created by individuals or company, are able to
display banner ads on their content pages. This system is also known as "pay per click" or PPC
because advertisers pay when the ads are clicked by readers.

35. Websites get a percentage of the amount that the company pays Google for displaying the ad.
For instance, if advertisers through Adwords pays $1.00 for each click visitors do, Google will
pay a percentage of that amount to you, in this case, about $0.20.
With Adsense you'll be sure to get a nice little check every month. Of course, you need to have
hundred visitors a week, if you want make $30-$50 each week. Remember, increasing
exposure to your website is the best way to increase click-though-rate, and your incomes, as
well.
2.Getting Started With Google Adsense
Simple as pie. All you have to do is to sign up for a free account on google adsense home
page. Once done, you'll need to wait a few days before your site is approved(To start with
Adsense you need to create a website or blog, but not every site is approved).
Once approved, log into your Adsense account, click on "Adsense Setup", then "Adsense for
content"(see image below) and you can start create your ad. Once gone on the "Adsense for
content" tab, you can choose between different size and format options. Adsense give you
more control allowing you to choose the color, size, and fold you want that appear on your site
or blog.

36. As you can see on my blog, usually I use a med rectangle (300x250) on the top and sidebar of
my home page and single pages. (Note: You are allowed to put up to three different ad unit
within every pages).
Alternate ads - The great thing about alternate ads is that when Adsense no display ads for
certain keywords, instead to displays public service ads, you can set to display advertising of
another site or blog you want.
Channels - If you want organize your AdSense results by Web site or by areas of your site,
channels allows you to compare each format you are using, and see which work better.
Ok, now you've done all the necessary to setting your ads, you can generate the HTML code
and copy it on your own site!
3. Adsense Tips You Cannot Do Without
If you've done a good job of building your blog, pulling your readers with magnetic contents,
then you've a great chance to make money from Adsense.

37. It take time and efford to make a 4-figure income, but for those want to make additional income
from their blog, there's nothing more easier than add a piece of code on your blog and getting
some nice income from it.
Of course, as each thing, you do need to know some key strategies to optimize your ad banner
and boost your conversion. So, below I listed some useful tricks to add to your Adsense
esperience. They each have their advocates, and they can all work.
1. Colors and font - When you choosing the Adsense ad background, match them to the exact
color of your page background. For instance, if your web site background is yellow, then your
ad background is yellow, and so on. As you'll notice, in my site, I've choose #ffffff as
background color, as my ad background color, as well.
Also make sure to choose the colour of your banner headlines the same of your page
headlines. Latest but not least, use the same ad text font of your pages.
2. Keywords - Create a list of the most popular keyword through keyword research tool such
as Keyword spy and put them inside your web pages. Adwords advertisers will pay high for
high keyword.
3. Ad unit - Uses 5 link ad units wherever possible. They could increase your Click Through
Rate (CTR) than regular ad styles. If you want to check all the AdSense ad formats, then click
here.
4. Integrate, integrate, integrate - Make sure that the Adsense banner be integrated into the
page of your site. You can see an example directly on my site. As you can see my 300x250
Adsense banner put inside this article, it look like a regular part of my article.
5. Channel - Google Adsense offers two great ways that allows you to know how your Adsense
ads works within your site, called "Custom Ad Channel and Google URL Channel".
In particular, by creating a custom ad channel or an URL ad channel you are able to check
which URL page or Ad Unit perform better and where you need to make a few change, or
whether you should add ads inside the content on your right/left sidebar, header, and so on.

Many bloggers that start using Adsense get stuck once they put their piece of code within their

effort and without need to make other change. Well, It's not so. Just as you need to make more

My old banner Adsense:

2. 336 x 280 Large Rectangle after the body of the post on the single page.
My new banner Adsense after the change:
1. I left the 300 x 180 Medium Rectangle on the home page.
2. I removed the 336 x 280 Large Rectangle from any single pages within the content and
positioned it between the title and the body content. (See, images below)
3. I removed the 336 x 280 Large Rectangle after the body of the post on any single pages
Today, I checked my Adsense stats, but I have not noticed any improvement, yet. There's need
several days before see if my income grow, it’s likely that Adsense take some time before to
updated the new ad format in order to be served on my site.
I reccomend you to experiment and find out what works for you. In general keep your page look
cleaner and it’s likely to improve your revenue immediately. Another suggestions is that to
make your banner adsense blended with the site by using the color and fonts of your site.

42. 5. How To Boost Adsense CTR, My Experiment
"Click-through rate or CTR is a way of measuring the success of an online advertising
campaign. A CTR is obtained by dividing the number of users who clicked on an ad on a web
page by the number of times the ad was delivered (impressions). For example, if a banner ad
was delivered 100 times (impressions delivered) and one person clicked on it (clicks recorded),
then the resulting CTR would be 1 percent." Source Wikipedia
Adsense within new sites can drop down the CTR value? If you have more then one site that
aren’t working well or however haven’t enough traffic, then it might be best to take Adsense off
altogether and a couple of weeks ago I did just that.
I have two sites and one are just on hold for later use, that are getting enough traffic to make
this experiment. The two sites are both in the same niche. My strategy so far has been to use
AdSense on the sites as soon as I start actively working on them.
I always thought that if a site was well designed, and well optimized, then it should start getting
AdSense clicks as soon as any traffic comes in at all. In my view, it's not always true. That is
fine as long as the site is converting well but as I have discovered, most of them are not.
One thing I've noticed is that my first site I've created three years ago performing better then
my new sites I've launched one years ago.
So, my strategy was been to trying to removing Adsense from my recent site. Usually, I try to
implement only one change at a time, before make any evaluation.
The decision to remove Adsense from my new site is matured as I saw that despite any attempt
to increase my CTR(I've wrote an interesting article where I explain what you need to do to
increase your CTR value). in my site, I always got low values.
The Result
After a couple weeks, the result has been enough clear, the site that are performing poorly are
still performing poorly and my CTR dragging down, yet. The only positive thing I've noticed was
been an improve of my click-through rate, at least of 12% than first. That's it!
However, I will try to make new changes. For instance, I want try using Mark Mason’s niche
AdSense themes as these are specifically designed for AdSense and don’t have dates and
other blog-related clutter.
Conclusion
In summary, I can say that the change had some effect. However, I think that these result also
depend if you have sites with the same niche, and the same topic. What works with one won't
necessarily work for another.
