In today’s world business runs on maximizing profit by
satisfying there valuable customers and in today’s
world it is very essential to fulfill customers demand.
If we will not fulfill the customers demand on time
they will shift towards competitors or towards
substitute goods. So in this customer focused era we
have to be more productive to retain our customers
  for maximizing profit.
Productivity is the main concern in every business and
every manager want a productive staff. In today’s
world productivity is the need of hour. To make an
organization productive each and every individual
should be more productive then only the organization
  will be on track.
 Most of the organizations fails because of low productivity
in effects of that profits starts shrinking and expenses
keeps rising. Even having proper resources the company
fails in achieving productivity because of the five main
reasons, these are organizations are not reacting on the
important issues they are giving main priority to the
urgent issues, organizations are not going for
extraordinary results they are satisfied with the ordinary,
organizations are not making proper choice between
scheduling the main task rather than that they are
focusing on the least priority task, organizations are not
having control over technologies they are becoming slave
of technologies and the most important the organizations
are not utilizing there talent and abilities in a proper way.
 Franklincovey is providing solutions to
overcome from the issue of lack of
productivity and for this they are offering a
program named “5 Choices to Extraordinary
Productivity”. This program helps you in
prioritizing your task in a systematic manner
so that you can easily become more
    productive.

      1 2 3 4 5

•Don’t react •Don’t settle •Don’t sort •Don’t let it out
to the urgent with ordinary gravel rule you
 Act on the important
“Things which matter most must not be at the mercy of things
   matter least”:-Johann Goethe
The one of the foremost foundation for being productive is to act
on important issues first and to don’t run behind the urgent
issues. Individuals have to make a distinction between the
important issues and urgent issues. It’s not necessary that the
things which are urgent is really important at that time for e.g.
Planning seems to be important but actually it’s not on the other
hand crises, projects deadlines, meetings, reports are really
important issues but we are not focusing on these issues rather
than that we are more focusing on planning, preparations,
relationship building, recreation and on clarifying values.
If we really have to increase productivity we have to focus on our
top priorities and have to eliminate the unimportant issues, we
have to plan daily and weekly, and if we will follow all this we will
increase the organization productivity, there will be less chances
of crisis we will have more balance life and peace of mind.
2nd Choice
 Go for extraordinary
Go for extraordinary results don’t just settle with the results
you got. Every individual have to set an target to achieve and
have to work hard towards it. One have to make commitment
with oneself that he will try to overachieve his/her target. In
the beginning of every week individuals have to start with
making there commitment statement. It is evident that if we
read a book completely we can only memorize 20% out of
it, in same way if will focus toward extraordinary targets in
the end we will at least land up by completing our target or
may be we can overachieve it.
For going toward extraordinary results we have to prioritize our
task in a manner that important things come first and we also
have to manage time so that each task completes before its
  deadlines.
3rd Choice
 Schedule the Big Rocks
Scheduling the big rocks means prioritizing the tasks according to
their importance. Scheduling of task should begin every week
starting and we have to prioritize the main task first and if in
between we get time we should also cover the least priority task for
e.g. a sales man have to meet his 8 clients in a day between 1000hrs
to 1400hrs. So he have to prioritize his visit according to client
worth and his earlier relation with the client, he also have to prepare
a route map so that he can meet his maximum client within
specified time. If he does so he will definitely get the good result out
  of that 8 appointments.
For scheduling task franklincovey rely on a process which is know as
TANC (Task, Appointments, Notes & Contacts)

4th Choice
 Rule your Technology
In today’s era of technology we are surrounded by many modes of
communication such e-mails, mobiles, pager, messengers,
telephones. On any given day, each of us so sorely bombarded by
the number of advertisements and commercial messages, and
information in general streaming our way that it is no longer
practical to discuss "getting away from it all." Indeed, most people
carry some kind of mobile device that all but guarantees that they
will continue to remain in the information shower regardless of the
location, the time of day, or other factors.
In a working day you will receive lots of mail asking you to send
reports and to finish certain work. In this also you have prioritize the
most important work and the reports which is really need to be done
immediately. There are lots of tools to manage our priority and
works, like lotus note, outlook. We need to manage this technology
so that it will not overpower our life’s priorities. Enjoy the
technology and take useful out of it.
5th Choice
 Fuel your fire
“We have two basic sources of energy. The first is our sense of
purpose. When we’re doing things that are important and
meaningful to us, we’re filled with energy. We give our best and
enjoy making the effort. … The second source of energy is our
physical and mental capacity. Even if we’re excited about the
purposes in our lives, we might lack the energy in our bodies and
our brains to enjoy them or even give them our best effort.
Franklincovey stress upon 5 Energy Drivers which helps a person to
fight in this high pressure work environment. The 5 Energy Drivers
are Move, Eat, Sleep, Relax & Connect
Connect Move

Relax Eat

             Sleep
