Develop a child, develop a nation !

 Development of brain is highest during the early
  years – 0 to 4 years.

 The development of a child’s brain depends on the
stimulation provided in its surroundings, especially
on the quality of care and interaction that the child
  receives.

 By age three, the brains of children are 2.5 times
more active than those of adults.
 Rhythm for physical development is rapid in the first
  3 years.

 At the end of first year, infant’s height is 50%greater
than it was at birth, at the end of two years,
  it is 75% greater
Develop a child, develop a nation !

Importance of Early Childhood Parenting
 Children of highly responsive parents
  quickly attain required language skills.
 Mothers who are sensitive and supportive
have children who show more rapid
  development of self control.
 Love withdrawal, physical punishment
and inconsistent discipline are linked to
  anti-social behavior.
 Substandard childcare of early years
  result in less favorable cognitive,
  emotional & social development.
