CHARACTERS OF ORDER: CROSSOPTERYGII Internal nares present. Fins are lobed, except the first dorsal fin. Scales with cosmic layer. Air bladder lug like. Notochord persists and vertebrae unossified. Osteichthyes includes about 96% of all fish species
