About the Blue-Green Game
§ Think Win-Win is the foundation of getting along well with other
people.
§ However, in many organizations, getting to a win-win situation in
which all parties benefit can be quite a challenge often because
there is a lack of trust, teamwork and communication between
teams.
§ The objective of the Blue-Green Game is to demonstrate the
importance of Win-Win thinking.
§ By the end of the game, participants would have learned the need to
build trust, teamwork and improve communication and work towards
a win-win situation.

Instructions to Teams (1/3)
1. Game Objective: Score the highest possible number of net plus
points.
2. Points are scored by exchanging cards. Team A1 exchanges with
A2; B1 with B2.
3. There will be 5 rounds of exchanges of 1 minute apart. Each
round will consist of your team exchanging one card with its
counterpart.
4. Only the referees will make exchanges. There will be no direct
contact or discussion between teams except as noted in point 7.
5. Your team will know what it is receiving only after it has sent a
card.

Instructions
1. Decide on what color to exchange.
2. You have 60 seconds.
3. Hand the card to the referee when you are done.
4. Review the color that you have received, your score and
strategize for the next round.
Time: 60 secs

All rights reserved. 2 About the Blue-Green Game § Think Win-Win is the foundation of getting along well with other people. § However, in many organizations, getting to a win-win situation in which all parties benefit can be quite a challenge often because there is a lack of trust, teamwork and communication between teams. § The objective of the Blue-Green Game is to demonstrate the importance of Win-Win thinking. § By the end of the game, participants would have learned the need to build trust, teamwork and improve communication and work towards a win-win situation.   • 4. © Operational Excellence Consulting. All rights reserved. 4 Instructions to Teams (1/3) 1. Game Objective: Score the highest possible number of net plus points. 2. Points are scored by exchanging cards. Team A1 exchanges with A2; B1 with B2. 3. There will be 5 rounds of exchanges of 1 minute apart. Each round will consist of your team exchanging one card with its counterpart. 4. Only the referees will make exchanges. There will be no direct contact or discussion between teams except as noted in point 7. 5. Your team will know what it is receiving only after it has sent a card.

Hand the card to the referee when you are done. 4. Review the color that you have received, your score and strategize for the next round. Time: 60 secs ACTION!
