Double majored in Biological Engineering and Mathematics at MIT. Worked as a Bioinformatics technician at the Broad Institute in Cambridge, MA. Earned MS in Bionformatics from UC-Santa Cruz in 9 months, then. studied for a PhD in Bioinformatics at UC San Diego in computational analysis of single-cell alternative splicing. Currently very happy at the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub in San Francisco on the Human Cell Atlas. Research interests: single-cell sequencing, genomics, transcriptomics, open source software, open science.
