Objectives * ︎The main objective of the project “PANACEA” is to provide Proactive Autonomic Management of Cloud Resources * Autonomic Cloud architecture based on IBM’s architecture for autonomic computing * Self-awareness, to allow VMs to know their execution environment * Self-configuration, to allow VMs to request changes at runtime

OpenNebula-based Autonomic Cloud Architecture * OpenNebula is the Cloud Manager, supporting several reconfiguration operations on VMs * OneFlow is the Service Manager, supporting service auto-scaling * OneGate is a HTTP server with a REST interface providing self-monitoring to VMs, allowing them to push application-level monitoring metrics (PUT action) * It is being extended to provide self-awareness (GET action) and self-configuration (POST action)
