Kraft Heinz new CEO: Less cost-cutting,
more supply chain visibility
Kraft Heinz, the third-largest food and beverage company in North America, has decided focus on the
bottomline by improving supply chain visibility. The company recorded 5% drop in sales which was
mostly due to controllable inflation in packaging, freight, overtime and maintenance costs according to
the new CEO Miguel Patricio . To meet his goals of bringing the company back to health, Patricio said the
supply chain teams need to focus less on cost-cutting and improve their operations. Read More

FedEx Ground won't renew
delivery contract with Amazon
The old foes Amazon and FedEx have decided to cut
ties in the year 2019. As mentioned by Fedex they
want to expand to the bigger e-commerce platform
due to their developed Ground network. However,
the recent development of in-house logistics by
Amazon is hurting the revenue and market share of
FedEx. FedEx will not renew its ground delivery
contract with Amazon when it expires at the end of
August, a FedEx spokesperson confirmed to Supply
