Hello, this is your quiz-friend Partha Gupta. Over the years I have conducted
so many quiz contests and got your illustrious presence and appreciation. In
this grim situation of Lockdown due to Covid- 19, I have started an online quiz
series in my Facebook page titled ‘Theme Quiz Journey’ which has been going
on since 10th May, ‘20 the birthday of ‘Father of Indian Quiz’- Neil O’Brien.
So, I am going to place a Special Theme Quiz (10 qsn.) in my FB link:

centralized answer. For each correct answer of the regular question you will get 5 points each. If
you crack the theme, will be rewarded with the same bonus points i.e; 50 points. Make sure about
the 100% correctness of the theme answer otherwise, your score sheet will be nullified! Read

‘X’ was developed, conceptualised and featuring by ‘Y’ and
the South African band Freshlyground. Antonio Navas, executive
creative director of international marketing agency Ogilvy &
Mather played significant role for making ‘X’. In June 2010, it
was reported that Dominican musician Wilfrido Vargas had
decided to file a lawsuit against ‘Y’ for plagiarising to make ‘X’.
The chorus of ‘X’ is borrowed from "Zangaléwa," a 1986 song
recorded by Cameroonian band Golden Sounds. ‘X’ became
popular on YouTube, receiving 2.5 billion views as of May 2020.

‘During an expedition through the Amazon Rainforest, João Felipe Bettenford
discovered a special fruit. This fruit is used by the native Mawé people as a
source of energy. It let their hunters go an entire workday without feeling
hungry. German naturalist Carl von Martius starts studying this fruit and its
therapeutic qualities and medicinal uses start spreading throughout Europe. In
1905, physician Luiz Pereira Barreto succeeded in processing this fruit to
produce food and the idea of creating a drink was born. Finally, a drink was
created in 1921 by Pedro Baptista de Andrade for commercial purpose. At
present, this drink is produced in four countries: Portugal,
Brazil, Argentina and Japan. In Brazil, the fruit is widely used as aphrodisiac.

1. Diego Maradona was featured in the music video to the 2010 World Cup
song "Waka Waka" by Shakira, with footage shown of him celebrating
Argentina winning the 1986 World Cup.
2. One of Guaraná Antarctica’s commercials of 2006, Diego Maradona was
featured with wearing Brazil’s jersey and singing national anthem with
Kaka, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo.
3. Diego Maradona got the top rank in the FourFourTwo magazine's "100
Greatest Footballers Ever" list in July, 2017.

4. Sergio Agüero was married to Gianinna Maradona, the youngest
daughter of Diego Maradona. Agüero and Gianinna separated in 2012 after
four years together. Besides, on 5 July 2003, Agüero became the youngest
player to play in the Argentine Primera División on his debut at 15 years
and 35 days, breaking the record previously established by Diego
Maradona in 1976.
5. Estadio Azteca (Aztec Stadium) hosted the famous England-Argentina
match in 1986 World Cup. In that match Diego Maradona scored the
controversial ‘Hand of God’ goal and the ‘Goal of the Century’. Besides,
this stadium has also a bronze plaque of Maradona with the title – ‘Goal
of the Century’.

6. At the 1994 World Cup in the United States, Diego Maradona played in
only two games (both at the Foxboro Stadium near Boston), scoring one goal
against Greece, before being sent home after failing a drug
test for ephedrine doping.
7. In 2008, Emir Kusturica made a documentary about Diego Maradona's life,
entitled ‘Maradona’ which was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008.
8. Like Che Guevara, Diego Maradona’s wife Antonella Roccuzzo was also
born in Rosario, Argentina.
* Besides, Maradona has a tattoo of Guevara in
his right arm.

10. In 2000, Diego Maradona published his autobiography “Yo Soy El Diego”,
meaning "I am the Diego." He dedicated the book to various people, including
Fidel Castro. He donated the Cuban royalties of his book to the Cuban people
through Castro.
* Besides, Maradona has a tattoo of Castro on his left leg. He became friends with
legendary Cuban leader while receiving treatment on the island. Castro said,
"Diego is a great friend and very noble, too”.
* Coincidentally, the two died on the same day: November 25th.
9. Diego Maradona played for Napoli club’s golden period. Later on, in
honour of Maradona and his achievements during his career at Napoli,
the number 10 jersey of Napoli was officially retired. Besides, after
Maradona’s death, Napoli renamed its stadium in honour of former legend.
