This brief slide deck explains the processes, environments (orgs), and
milestones to help ISV partners plan an app, build it, distribute it to prospects
and customers, market, sell, and support your customers in market. Based on
the complexity of your app and your business model, your processes may differ.
Work with your Partner Account Manager (ISV) to ensure your success at each
phase of the lifecycle. There are six primary phases:

It all starts with the six phases of the lifecycle. Notice the diagram begins with planning your app, rather
than building. This underscores the importance of proper planning for your app and your business
before starting development work.

Once you join the Salesforce Partner Program, you will receive an email with access to our systems
and resources. Milestones include a Business Review with a Partner Account Manager (ISV), and a
Technical Review of important architecture and design considerations.

Review (PAM)
In the Build Phase, use Partner Developer Orgs (for development), Test Orgs (for testing), and a
Packaging Org to create a managed package for all of your code. The package is then submitted for
Security Review. Passing this review is required before launching your app.

Review will walk you through the orders and billing process.
