Jason Voorhees is a supernatural killer who first appeared in the 1980 film Friday the 13th. He is a large man over 2 meters tall and 150 kilograms who wears a hockey mask and uses a large sharp knife. Jason has superhuman strength and regenerative abilities that make him nearly immortal. The origin of Jason's murderous tendencies began when he drowned as a disabled boy in Crystal Lake in 1957, after which his mother went on a killing spree to avenge his death at a nearby summer camp.
