6. Design is not just what it looks like and feels like.
Design is how it works.
7. We don’t get a chance to do
that many things, and every
one should be really excellent.
Because this is our life.
Life is brief, and then you die,
you know?
And we’ve all chosen to do
this with our lives. So it
bet ter be damn good.
It better be worth it.
8. Do you want to spend the rest
of your life selling sugared water
or do you want a chance to
change the world?
9. I’m convinced that about half of what separates the
successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful ones is
pure perseverance.
10. But it’s a disservice to constantly put things in this
radical new light - that it’s going to change everything.
Things don’t have to
change the world
to be important.
11. I have looked myself in the mirror every morning
and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of
my life, would I want to do what I am about to
do today?’ And whenever the answer has been
‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to
change something.
12. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to
avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are
already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.
13. The only way to do great work is to
love what you do.
If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking.
Don’t settle. As with all matters of the
heart, you’ll know when you f ind it.
14. Though I am a PC guy,
I have the utmost respect
for Steve Jobs. His speeches
frequently inspired me,
and I hope they inspire you.
