What Then?
Optional Practical Training (OPT)
OPT is temporary employment that is directly
related to a student's field of study
Students holding F-1 visas are eligible
for a maximum of twelve months of OPT
authorization for each level of study
Most students apply for OPT as they approach
the end of their current degree program
Participating in OPT "after" completion of
studies offers the opportunity to apply skills to
"real world" situations.

Requirements and Deadlines
Average score during the bachelor must be greater than B
(24 in Italian grades)
TOEFL score of at least 80 with the minimum scores as follows:
writing 21, speaking 20, listening 17, and reading 19
IELTS certificate is also accepted with a total score of 6.5 with the
minimum scores as follows: writing 6, speaking 6, listening 6,
reading 6.
Deadlines
Mid July, express your interest in the master by sending an
email to Mrs. Caldirola (caldirol@elet.polimi.it) who will add your
email in the master mailing list
Mid September, send the documentation required to enroll in
the Master program to Mrs. Caldirola who will check the
documents and forward them to Chicago

English Test Requirements
Students may request a TOEFL waiver provided they have
completed a minimum of two years of full-time, transferable
study at the secondary or collegiate level in a country where
English is the primary language as well as the language of
instruction, or worked full time in the United States for one
year.
Requests for a TOEFL score waiver must be made in writing
to the Office of Graduate Admissions and included with your
application materials. Employment related waiver requests
must be accompanied by a letter from a supervisor certifying
that the applicant has English proficiency and verifying the
length of employment.

The best student of the first semester receives a scholarship and
does not pay the second semester tuition and some other fees
