2. “Educational
Plan Tour 2013”
Educational tour gives us ideas likewise opportunities
to visit prestigious places that may help us visualize what we are
learning at school. This activity help us develop our personality
since social graces and we can learned too by experience. Move
over, important also every student to acquire more knowledge
through actual exposure to the different places.
On October 30, 2013 the day wherein I have to wake up
early because it should be a big no for rush. Because the selected
third year student will have educational plan tour. Yes, we’re
pretty much excited to invade Magallanes, so we departed
Bayugan City at around 7:30 in the morning. We prayed first for
a safe trip before we go. After that, here it goes we already
started talking, laughing, singing and especially picture taking.
There is also vomiting, because they can’t able to travel far.
After an hour of travel, we had stopover first in the
Butuan City, Barangay Taguibo. Wherein we went to the source
of water or the watershed. When we are there we saw a hanging
bridge and I am so excited to step that. When our time to get
there, we saw a different sizes of stones. It is so really nice place.
The water was so cold. So we take a picture, but before that we
will be having a lecture about the Taguibo River. The lecturer
said that, the watershed area of the Taguibo River has an
aggregate area of 4,367.44 hectares. The watershed area covers
the municipalities of RTR and Cabadbaran, and the City of
Butuan , Agusan del Norte. The watershed supply water on over
200, 000 houses in Butuan City. The river is also used for
washing, bathing, fishing as well as wallowing area for carabaos.
It is presently being developed by Butuan City Water District for
extraction of water for its water system through an infiltration
gallery. After that, here it goes we already started the picture
taking. Say Cheese!
3. After that, we back to the Butuan City, water district
water treatment. We saw a filtration plant the Automatic Brush
Filter and Automatic Microfiber Filter. There is also Pressure
Regulating Valve (PRV), treatment/chlorinating facilities pump
stations, reservoirs, standby power generating sets and
laboratory. Afterwards, when were done in Barangay Taguibo
our traveled continued.
Around 12:30 in the afternoon, we had stopover in
Butuan National Museum, we ate our lunch. When we’re done,
we assure first that the place where we ate our lunch was clean,
and then we entered the museum. We find the body of Lolong,
the biggest crocodile in the world. It placed in a fridge. We saw
also his bones. Lolong relatively stagnant. Then we take a picture
taking inside and outside of museum. After that, our traveled
continued. Next is we will go to the mall.
Around 1:30 in the afternoon, we here at Gaisano Mall.
But were not together with my classmates. Only few are with me.
Three hours perhaps were in the mall, we just window shopping,
because we cannot afford those who sold. We just felt impressed
to buy food. I also bought a “pasalubong” to my mama and
brothers. After three hours, we came back to our service to return
home.
Educational tour is extremely important to the student
for the reason that we can gain knowledge and ideas. This
activity, I have lots to learn like the watershed in Brgy. Taguibo it
is very important part of water system and ecosystem in Butuan
City. Even the area of the watershed is not big, but it’s helped
many people. I learned also that water, before we drink it. It has
many processes to undertake. It was a memorable experience.
That’s all end of my long journey.
