N.R. Narayana Murthy is the co-founder and former CEO of Infosys. He obtained engineering degrees from University of Mysore and IIT Kanpur. In 1981, he co-founded Infosys with six others and grew it into a global technology company listed on NASDAQ. Under his leadership, Infosys implemented the global delivery model and became one of the most respected companies worldwide. He was awarded the "Padma Vibhushan", the second highest civilian award by the Government of India in 2008. The Government of France conferred the Officer of the Legion of Honor in 2008.
