8 and Up is a company that teaches entrepreneurship to children in a fun way through a 6-week program. During the program, children ages 8 and up develop their own business ideas with a $50 budget provided by their parents. The goal is to help kids learn skills like problem-solving, creativity and resilience by allowing them to start their own businesses and make mistakes. The company launched as a pilot in 2013 and is expanding to more cities to prepare the next generation for an innovation-driven world where they will need to create their own job opportunities and think of new ideas and questions.
