2. The Power of Affirmations
It is no secret that the way that you look at life often
determines the way that your opportunities will play out.
Some think of this as common sense, but others give it a
different name – the law of attraction.
The idea behind that law is that you attract positive
opportunities by keeping a positive attitude – attracting like
to like.
One great way to do this is by crafting daily positive
affirmations to help you to keep yourself on the right path.
3. What are Affirmations?
Affirmations, put simply, are short statements that affirm
your goals in the universe.
Rather than starting your day and hoping, you start your
day by telling the world exactly what you expect in no
uncertain terms.
The entire process of stating affirmations is one that I
found difficult at first, but it makes more sense when you
think of it in an inspirational manner.
When you create these phrases, you are taking a moment
to create a more positive head-space for yourself and to
allow yourself a chance to attract success.
4. The Power of Affirmations
Affirmations make use of the concept of the power of
attraction.
While the name might sound a bit silly (and it did to me, at
least at first), it might help to consider these affirmations as
something of a way to trick your subconscious mind into
attracting better opportunities.
The power here does not lie in some kind of magic, but
rather in allowing yourself to bring better opportunities
towards your own personal sphere of influence.
The power of affirmations, then, is the power to change
your life for the better.
5. Writing Your Own
So, what do you really need to write down? Some people
will tell you that only the feelings matter, but that is only
partially true.
If you really want to write your own affirmations, you do
need to concentrate on what you say.
The words, after all, are part of the ritual – and part of
putting your mind and heart in the right place.
Take a little time to consider what you want, and then
pursue it.
Always write as if you have what you want already – “I am
happy” or “I am successful”, for example.
Your job is to push the idea into your subconscious and to
let it guide you, and I have always found that keeping
6. Writing Your Own
As you can tell, there is a good deal of work that goes into
writing affirmations on your own.
What you get, though, is a sense that the words going on
paper actually represent your true desires.
Affirmations are certainly not for those who are looking for
a “quick fix” or want to play around with the power of
positive thinking, but I do believe that spending the time to
create your own daily positive affirmations will help you to
improve yourself as a person.
Give it a try, and you might be surprised by how your life
changes.
