2. BATA STORE….
Bata is a shoe store in Dhaka
city. The store’s environment is
very friendly, clean and from
the moment you see the red
sign you feel like going in. One
thing I had not noticed before is
that the shoes are arranged on
the stack in such a way that the
brand new shoes are kept on
lower shelves so that it is
easier for people to notice
them. Also the attendees are
assigned according to their
ages in different sections of the
shoe store.
3. AGORA…
Agora is a one stop store
chain in Dhaka. The great
thing I realized in this week is
Agora’s logo. The logo shows
a lady running with a trolley
full of products. Well, that’s
exactly what Agora is all
about. You can collect
everything you need in one go
from one place and the
designer has depicted that
idea very well. I never realized
this before taking the course.
4. COOPER’S BAKERY…
Cooper’s bakery is a cake and pastry
shop in Dhaka. The ambience of
Cooper is very welcoming and the
great thing is you actually feel like
you are inside a cake when you walk
in the store.
5. TEXMART…
Texmart is a clothing store located
in Dhaka. It is an averaged looking
store like any other clothing store
in Dhaka. There is always music
playing inside the shop which
gives the atmosphere a very
groovy touch. One surprising fact
is though the music is always pop
or jazz. I have never heard soft or
classical music playing.
6. CATS EYE..
Cats Eye is another thrift
store. It is much like Texmart.
One thing I noticed about
Cats Eye is that their
mannequins are without
heads! I asked one of the
employees the reason and he
replied that it is because so
that people can concentrate
on the shirts only. Sometimes
looking at the mannequin’s
face puts you off because it
looks kind of pale and creepy.
I have to say that he kind of
has a point, mannequins I do
find a bit creepy.
7. WALTON…
Walton is an electrical appliance
company. I went to their
showroom in Dhaka. I did not
notice much factors except
welcoming environment and
street smart attendees. But one
thing I did wonder that the TVs
displayed on the walls of the
showroom all show very serene
sceneries that represent
tranquility and nature. I did not
really understand why.
