Proposed Lakeside Elevation Existing Lakeside View Lake Home 2nd Story Addition Lake Geneva, WI My clients requested a second story addition to their year round cottage in order to make it their full time residence. I achieved this by designing the exterior to add rustic charm; redesigning the floor plan, moving the rooms they spent the most time in to the front to maximize lake views; all while maintaining the amenities of their previous home.

5. Before Views Front Elevation (After) Farmhouse Addition/Renovation Gurnee, IL This 100 year old Four Square Farmhouse lacked the space and functionality for a modern day family of four. A two story addition, as well as a renovation of the entire interior space was done. Among the changes were the additions of a Master Suite, Second Floor Laundry, Kitchen/Great Room with a remarkable stone fireplace, and of course the traditional front porch.

Floor Plans Shaded areas = Addition Front View (After) Residence, 2 Story Addition & Renovation Lake Villa, IL This existing 1 ½ Story home had one large open concept room on the first floor and only one bedroom and bathroom on the second. The entire floor plan was reworked, and a full two story addition added two more bedrooms and bathrooms. The First Floor now has a Custom Kitchen, Nook, and large Family Room with access to the New Front or Rear Covered Porches.

8. Rear Views Front View Custom Home, New Construction Island Lake, IL This custom two story home is based on a traditional design, but full of contemporary detailing. It features a double sided fireplace separating the Family Room from the Hearth Room and Kitchen; an English Basement with full height windows; a Butler’s Pantry for Dining Room serving; and Linen Cabinets in the Master Bathroom, as well as the Hall Bath.

10. Street (Front) Elevation Lake (Rear) Elevation Lake Home, New Construction Antioch, IL This two story lakefront home was recently constructed on Channel Lake in Antioch. It features a First Floor Master Bedroom, as well as a Second Floor Guest Suite/Second Master separated from the other bedrooms by a catwalk over the vaulted Great Room. The Great Room, Kitchen, and Full Walkout Basement all offer spectacular lake views.

First and Second Floor Plans Front and Rear Views Custom Home, New Construction McHenry, IL This custom two story home has an all brick exterior with very traditional architectural detailing, such as dentil moldings, arched soldier courses with keystones above the windows, and quoining at all the corners. I worked very closely with the site engineer to position this house on it’s irregular lot to not only meet site requirements, but to achieve a Full Walkout Basement.

Side Elevation Front (Street) and Rear Elevations First and Second Floor Plans Custom Home, New Construction* Wilmette, IL This custom two story home was designed to fit on existing city lot, which dictated it’s narrow but deep footprint. It presents old world charm, with all the aspects of new construction; a great flow and interaction between spaces; and meshes well with the existing neighborhood.

A mix of stucco and fieldstone on the exterior and details like arched windows and shutters, dropped roof lines and dormers all give this home a timeless quality. However, the floor plans offer every convenience of modern day living.

From the Family Room with a wood coffered ceiling, to the large Butler’s Pantry with Wet Bar, and Master Suite fireplace, this home has great style and charm. The oversized windows in the Breakfast Nook bay, and Master Bathroom above, offer sweeping views of this prime golf course location.

Once inside, you will find a very modern finish to the traditional floor plan. Soft lines and curves dominant as found in the circular Kitchen and suspended fireplace in the Family Room. The double-loaded, round staircase in the Main Foyer is unequivocally the master piece in this home.

Master Plan Site Development, Semi-Custom Home Sites* Northbrook, IL This site development project was originated in conjunction with a large General Contracting firm offering various new home sites with a number of home plan options. I created the Master Plan based on several previous designs; determining what plan options were available for each site, plan or reverse plan based on lot restrictions and pre-determined driveway locations.

22. Digitally Rendered Views By Others Floor Plan & Elevation Vacation Home Packages Exuma, Bahamas This is a sample of one of several floor plans created for a private developer. These vacation homes are designed for pre-manufactured kits to be located on coastal areas.

Front View (Before) Front View (After) w/ New Front Entry & Fellowship Hall Floor Plan Schematic Round Lake Community Church Renovation Round Lake, IL All renovations are challenging, especially when it comes to a 75 year old church that is a benchmark of a community. First and foremost, a new Front Entry was designed to make the existing sanctuary handicap accessible. To accommodate a growing congregation and expanding services, a Nursery/Daycare, Conference Room, accessible Bathrooms, and a Warming Kitchen and Fellowship Hall that can seat up to 160 people were added.

Front Views (Before & After) Floor Plans Martini & Wine Lounge Build-out Richmond, IL This project was a very special one; I worked very closely with the Owner on every aspect of this Build-out, from the construction drawings to the Opening Night Celebration. This extremely rough space was transformed into a 1940’s Period Martini Lounge. All the furnishings were custom designed and fabricated including the built-in seating, stage, and the showpiece bar.

Proposed Floor Plans Lounge Setting Proposed Floor Plans Restaurant Setting Lounge/Restaurant Feasibility Study Richmond, IL The schematic drawings and material selections were part of a feasibility study for this project. Tentative budgets for build out costs and FF&E were used against anticipated income determined from occupancy levels to establish overall profitability. Occupancy levels were calculated in a Lounge setting that may transition into larger numbers with a Restaurant.

Proposed Floor Plan Before Views Basement Game Room Renovation Gurnee, IL This Basement Renovation was done for a family that wanted a game room for their children and a space suitable for adult entertaining. I achieved this by keeping the finishes durable yet stylish; creating a subtle backdrop of rich tones and refined details such as glazed wood finishes, granite countertops, and faux alabaster and glass light fixtures.
