Working On Video Marketing? Try These Tips Out
by Robin Nelson | on February 2, 2013

Are You Using Video in Your Marketing Plan?
Video marketing is a strategy that offers amazing potential for anyone interested in learning its
ins and outs of video making ad marketing. The key aspect, however, is a thorough study the
methods and techniques that have proved themselves to be successful for others as well as
those that have have videos that don’t do well.

Video For Products
If your business is product based, consider creating a video demonstrating how your products
are used and what to do with them. Think of it as an infomercial of sorts. When people see how
a product is used, they are much more likely to purchase it. This way they have more
information under their belt to make an informed decision. It also gives you a great forum to
discuss the benefits of your product.

Find Experts
A great video marketing tip that any business can use is to find experts in your field and
interview them. It is always a good idea to seek out people who have more knowledge than you
to share with your audience and at the same time you learn something new. This not only gives
you access to important and reliable information, but it also gives your business a sense of
credibility. If your audience knows you had the opportunity to interview someone who is
considered and expert in your trade, they will be more likely to listen to you.

Wouldn’t be cool to share something like this and get paid to do it?

Interesting Videos Get Shared
When people want to watch the videos that you make, they also will want to share them with
their friends. This is a great way to go viral without having to do much work. How do you do
this? You do this by using unique content, creativity, and humor. Share your videos on social
networks with your friends and family. There is always other people they know that you may not
know and hopefully those other people will continue to share your work. When people enjoy
watching your videos, they will want to show it to their friends, family, and neighbors so they
can enjoy the content as well. If you get enough people to share your videos, you will in turn get
      more traffic and exposure.

Get Indexed
When you’re posting videos using WordPress, check out video sitemap extensions which allow
you to easily add the new video to your current video sitemap. Without such a sitemap, Google
won’t index your videos and therefore viewers who are searching for them will never be lucky
      enough to find them.

Keep the Audience Coming Back
Be consistent. If people know what to expect from your video time and time again, they’ll be
sure to come back and watch if you’re offering what they want to see.

Brand your videos with an intro and outro and use the same look every time. You can do this by
adding a photo of yourself, a banner of some sort or some sort of logo or message that is shown
in every one of your videos. Once people get to know you and your videos, all they will need to
do is look at the particular way you brand your video and they are more likely to watch it since
they are already interested and know it comes from you.

On top of that, provide topical content in each video. If you are making videos on a certain topic,
use the same branding method for each topic. If you change topics, try and use the same logo,
but maybe change the wording to be relevant to your topic.

Make a Series
One of the tried and true techniques to video marketing is to use a series of short videos. If your
doing videos on a certain subject, try and keep the less than 5 minutes and make a series out of
them. Make one video and plan a time frame to post the nest video in the series. Say one video
goes out then in a couple of days the next video in the series will be coming out. This will keep
your audience interested and wanting to come back to get the whole story. This method has
been used in television from the very beginning and are always effective. This will keep your
viewers engaged and have them anticipating your next video to answer the questions raised in
      the first video.
Do Not Offend
Make sure that there is not anything in your marketing video that could offend people.
Sometimes you may need a little push to make your video a bit more interesting and not so
much a boring info type video, and sometimes bad things can become good publicity, but you
do not want to bank on that. If enough people are offended by your content, then you may
loose all of your viewers. People also share the fact that a video is bad or offensive. They will
share their disgust with others and your video most of the time wont get watched or could
possibly be flagged. Instead be sensitive to the various types of people that will view your video
to ensure the the response is purely positive.

Start Sharing your experiences on a blog and get money

Get Some Feedback
After you make your video, play it in front of a test audience to get some helpful feedback.
Your friends and family are a great audience  Ask them to give you truthful feedback, tell them
you wont be able to learn if you don’t know what is wrong or right with your video. Sometimes
it is not easy to see things from a consumer’s perspective. Feedback from a test audience can
help you refine the delivery of your message to make it more clear.

Take Videos Wherever You Go
Why not take a video while at a trade show? Many experts visit trade shows and would love to
expand their own customer base, and getting their name on your website is a great way to do
that. Make sure to write down their information so you can spell their name right and link back
to their site when you post the video – they’ll appreciate that.

Be Yourself
Video marketing can often be informal. People like marketing efforts that don’t look too forced
or slick. They can seem too much like television commercials, and everyone has learned to tune
those out. If your video is a little “rough,” that is okay. Make it personal and genuine. You will
likely attract more viewers. Always interject your true self into your work. People will be more
willing to like you and relate to you if you are being yourself.

Make Sure You Know What You’re Talking About
Video marketing can be a great way to get noticed and get sales in if you get it done. But make
sure you know what you’re talking about. You may not need to know every single detail about
the content you need to talk about, but make sure you know enough to carry out the video you
are planning to make. Think of the process as you were the viewer. What would you need to
know and how would you want it presented to you.
Do you like sharing your experiences, hobby’s and daily life on Facebook, MySpace or
    other social sites?

How attracting would it be to get paid to share all of those experiences?

Would it be worth getting an income to repost your hobbies from your social site to a
    different site?

All you would have to do is the same thing you do every day accept you would make
    money doing it.

Yes I would like to learn how to share stuff and make money doing it!

I really want some questions answered first before I decide
