According to the 2016 ABA Hazelden Study, depression and substance abuse is rampant among lawyers. And based on evidence on the use of technology, how you use your smartphones and computers can increase your anxiety as well.
In interactive CLE, we'll look at how technology can be used to improve an attorney’s mental and physical well-being. Larry Port, software engineer and health and fitness junkie, will show live examples of software that increases attorney productivity and organization, boosts mental health, and tracks fitness.
We will also look at some of the problems created by technology use, including the evidence of increased anxiety and the inability to focus.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the ways that technology use among lawyers can have negative psychological consequences.
Learn ways in which technology can increase legal productivity, including ease of billing, task management, and keeping your firm organized.
Discover tech tools that assist with personal growth and development, making you a more effective lawyer.
