Among fifteen CCTV channels, the broadcast of documentary programs was mainly
concentrated on the CCTV-9 and CCTV-10, and the condition of broadcast was still a trend of
polarization. CCTV Documentary channel broadcasted documentary programs more than 20
hours per day, which is the longest daily average documentary broadcast time. CCTV-10
broadcasted documentary programs more than 16 hours per day, which was the second
longest. The length of the two channels documentary broadcast time accounted for 66% of
the total length of documentary broadcast on all CCTV channels. Comparing with the same
period in last year, length of CCTV-15 documentary broadcast had increased significantly,
mainly because of the promotion of the Television Gramophone, Music and Life, etc.

Broadcast on Provincial Channels in 2014/2015
Comparing with 2014, length of documentary broadcast made some obvious changes in 2015.The number
of channels whose daily documentary broadcast length was between 60 to 120 minutes increased by 48%, and
the proportion increased by 12%. These channels which broadcasted documentary more than 120 minutes per
day accounted for 26%, and the proportion increased by 10%.

CCTV Documentary channel broadcasted documentary programs more than 20 hours per day, which is the longest daily average documentary broadcast time. CCTV-10 broadcasted documentary programs more than 16 hours per day, which was the second longest. The length of the two channels documentary broadcast time accounted for 66% of the total length of documentary broadcast on all CCTV channels. Comparing with the same period in last year, length of CCTV-15 documentary broadcast had increased significantly, mainly because of the promotion of the Television Gramophone, Music and Life, etc. 7
