TYPES OF CONTRACT
Explain the following types of contracts, including advantages and
disadvantages
Full-time – A full time contract means a full time job which means that a person
that works full time works at least 19 hours a week. One of the advantages
for a full time job is that you get paid more than you would if you worked
part-time. A disadvantage of working full time could be that after the number
of hours that person works weekly, they could be extremely tired.
Part-time- A part time contract or job , basically means that someone works
fewer hours than someone who is working full time . The advantage for
working part time is that people working part time will be less tired than
someone working full time, but the disadvantage would be that they get less
money.
Freelance- A free lance job is a profession someone has and they work for
specific people. The advantage for having a freelance job is that you can
work from home. The disadvantage of having a freelance job is that it is a
very isolated way to work.
shift work- shirtwork job is when someone works different times each day. The
advantage of having a shiftwork job, is that the times change so some days
people won’t be working as long. The disadvantages of shift work are that
sometimes someone that works shifts wants to do more work but can’t
because other co-workers have them hours.
Permanent- a permanent job is a job someone has for a long amount of time. The
advantage is that they have a stable job for a long amount of time, the
disadvantage is that someone
Temporary- a temporary job is a job someone has for a short amount of time.
The advantage of having a temporary job is that after the amount of time you
need to work there is done you can get another job. The disadvantage is if
someone want to work there for a longer time they wouldn’t be able to.
Voluntary- voluntary work is a job someone doesn’t without getting paid for it.the
advantage is that you help people and feel good about it but the disadvantage is
that you don’t get any money out of it.
Casual- casual job means someone that can be employed by someone when they
need to be and when they want them too. The advantage is that you have lots of
free time between working between clients, but the disadvantage is that you have
to wait around to be contacted for the different jobs needed.
Hourly paid- hourly paid means a job which someone gets by how many hours they
are working. The advantage is getting more money the more hours you work but
the disadvantage is that the income can vary to different amounts.
Piecework- piecework means when someone get paid for the amount of work they
produce. The advantage is the high earning might attract the attention of efficient
workers.The disadvantage of piecework is that when enough work isn’t produce
the, less money you get.

SECTOR (EXPLAIN WHAT IS PLUS THE
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES)
Job centres & careers advice- job centres and careers advice are there to
help people find jobs and get their careers. The advantages for job
centres and careers advice is that they provide help for a lot of people
to get jobs. The disdvantage of jobs centres and careers advice is that
they are working on behalf of the employer not the person seeking the
work so they wont always get the job.
Local & national press- local and national press, means local and national
newspappers , paparazzi etc. The advantage of this is that people can
find out what is happening in their areas and other countries around the
world.
personal contacts & word of mouth- This means contacting someone from each
others mouths by talking to each other. The advantages for this is that the
information is primary research making ,the information more of a fact. The
disadvantage is that it needs forward planning.
Networking – this means contacting and interacting with other people to
exchange information. The advantage of this is interacting with other people
such as co-workers. The disadvantage is that viruses can spread when
contacting other people.
Internet- this means a computer network which you can use to search and
communicate with people. The advantage is that you can use it to
communicate and research anything. The disadvantage is that there is loads
of wrong information on the internet.
