Social selling is no different than Social media selling as it is
identical to “selling on social media”. The process of social
selling utilizes social media to identify customers, connect
with them, understand their needs, and encourage them to
purchase.
The idea of social media is not new, however, from a
business point of view, social media is considered as the best
platform to conduct social selling activities. Selling on social
media is the most effective way to gain exposure and
strengthen your business’s reputation. Social media not only
helps you interact with your customers but is a powerful sales
tool.
As per recent social media statistics, 74% of consumers rely
on social media to make any purchase.
Social selling requires sales teams to work as one business
unit. The major focus is on building relationships which can
eventually become your customers. Social selling provides
you with the tools to show your audience that your company
is active and approachable, and provides you with the data to
turn those connections into potential sales. Social selling can
be easily conducted through email or on the phone on Twitter
and Linkedin. Connecting with multiple platforms offers an
amazing source of business opportunities.
In order to get the desired results, you need to work as per a
strategy that must match your objectives.
